Yellow River Symphony Orchestra was established in 2015. Thanks to the local government, enterprises and individuals’ support and encourage, the non-corporate symphony orchestra opened a precedent for this mid-China city.

Biography

Yellow River Symphony Orchestra was established in 2015. Thanks to the local government, enterprises and individuals’ support and encourage, the non-corporate symphony orchestra opened a precedent for this mid-China city. Orchestra invited the famous Chinese conductor Wenxing Su as the music director and chief conductor.

Yellow River Symphony Orchestra spread the symphonic music as their duty, and regularly bring to the city high standard symphony concerts as the goal. They have invited worldly excellent solo, soloists, conductors to participate and offered the community with hundreds of concerts each year. It has become a first-class symphony orchestra after years.

Since the establishment of the orchestra, they has successfully staged the opera "White-Haired Girl", the completion of two consecutive years of Zhengzhou New Year's Concerts,  and was invited to participate in the "33rd Harbin Summer Festival”, which was co-sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Culture and the Harbin municipal government. Each year, the orchestra invites many famous musicians around the world: prestigious conductors include Bian Zushan, Dr. Patrick Kavlov , Christopher Russell, famous instrument musicians include Terry B. Ewell (Chairman of the American Oboe Association), and Marvin C. Perry II (Trumpet Leader of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra),  Don Lucas (Professor Trombone of the Boston Conservatory of Music, President of the International Trombone Association), etc.

The orchestra members not only come from the outstanding conservatories, but also from the United States, Russia, Ukraine, Germany. Each year the Yellow River Orchestra provides 50 concerts during the music season.
