Overview
Introduction
This music is created by the composer for his son Gao Ping, to participate in the Chinese Piano Works Performance competition in 1987. The piece won the first prize of the new pieces in the competition and was selected to perform in the ISCM World Music Festival (Hong Kong). The prologue and epilogue of the composition form the trim structure with 3 middle levels, to express rich feelings of autumn wild scenery, a yearning for universal harmony, and calling balance between the nature and human beings. The music was composed with his innovative technique of "twelve-tone assemble technique", with the matching of two sounds assemble of [0,2,5,7 and [0,1,2,7] as the basic music elements. The composer seeks to integrate the tradition with the modern, with music showing the features of "New Impressionism".
