The foundation of Suzhou Symphony Orchestra is based on the bright prospects of Suzhou’s cultural development and SIP’s spirit of being inclusive and harmonious. The founding mission is to engage in more cross-cultural and interdisciplinary collaborations. Drawing on the best of the western culture, Suzhou Symphony Orchestra plays an important part in fostering cultural exchange between China and the West, and in helping publicise Suzhou as the city that has the rich flavor of culture.

Suzhou Symphony Orchestra is to be set up in October, 2016 and be premiered on Dec 31, 2016. A series of fantastic performances will be successively on show in 2017. The preparatory work is now proceeding in good order. We sincerely welcome symphony-lovers from all over the world to join us.
