Giovanni first picked up a violin at the age of two in a bid to emulate his older sister. He was prize winner in more than 30 national and international competitions including the “International Competition for Young Violinists K. Lipinski and H. Wieniawski” in Lublin, the “Premio Nazionale delle Arti” earning himself the title of “Best Violinist from an Italian Conservatory” and the “VII International Novosibirsk Violin Competition” where He also won all special jury prizes. During his career he has performed concerts in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Russia, Austria, Oman, Canada and the United States in prestigious venues like the “Carnegie Hall” in New York, the “Musikverein” in Graz, the “Smetana” Hall in Prague, the “Bayerische Staatsoper” in Munich, the Festspielhaus in Baden-Baden, the “Royal Opera House” in Muscat, the “Teatro alla Scala” in Milan, the “Teatro La Fenice” in Venice, the “Teatro Politeama” in Palermo and the “Arena di Verona” in Verona.

He has received recognition and special mentions from a range of institutions, including one, aged six, from the President of the Italian Republic Carlo Azeglio Ciampi. More recently, he received a special mention from the Queen Sofía Higher School of Music in Madrid,

the “Leone d’oro” award from Veneto’s Regional Government and the Title of "Alfiere della Repubblica" for outstanding achievements in music from the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella.
At the age of 4 He became the youngest violinist in Italian history to attend one of the country’s State Conservatory. He graduated from Venice’s Benedetto Marcello Conservatory with top marks and an honorable mention, the first time this has happened in more than forty years. Under Zubin Mehta’s advice, He graduated at the age of 16 from the Manhattan School of Music with a Master’s degree from the Pinchas Zukerman Performance Program, where He studied with Pinchas Zukerman and Patinka Kopec. He also studied at the “Hanns Eisler” Academy in Berlin with Antje Weithaas and at the “Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia” in Rome with Sonig Tchakerian, where he graduated in September 2020 with top marks cum laude.

He is currently studying Music Composition at the "A. Steffani" Conservatory in Castelfranco Veneto.

Giovanni plays the marvelous violin G. Guarneri del Gesù, Cremona 1739 ex Ebersholt-Menuhin. The loan falls within project “Adopt a Musicians”, created by Music Masterpieces SA, Lugano.
